Morning My loves!
Missed me? LOL. Very entitled of me but I spend all week anticipating Friday! It's like our time to chat. Please leave me a comment at the bottom so I know you're here! Anyways...
Let's be clear: I'm not here to sell you a 5AM routine, a cold plunge and an oat milk matcha (although I'm hooked). This isn't that.
This is about you. So I'm going to keep it short, because the message here is quite simple.
Finding time that is unapologetically yours, yes, for some people that might mean getting up a little earlier to fit it in the day but it's all about the intention. No phone before 8 am, for my high functioning burn out babes, even just finding 10 mins in the morning to make your morning about you won't make any drastic changes to your productivity. We've made our mornings about everyone and everything else. How you start your day matters, not in an aesthetic way but in a "I'm designing a life I actually want to live" kind of way.
Mornings don’t need to be perfect. They just need to be yours
Some days, mine starts with gospel and a robe that deserves a coffee table book feature. Other days? I’m pacing with a to-do list and an elastic bun that should not be witnessed. But what I’ve learned, especially as a fashion designer is that the small intentional choices matter. The things people don’t see. The weight of a fabric. The way a seam meets the body. The pause before a sketch becomes a garment. An added detail just to make the fit that little bit better.
Mornings are like that, too. Not perfection but intention.
The 10-minute principle
Even if it’s just ten minutes. Ten minutes that don’t revolve around your phone, your job, your partner, or your feed. Ten minutes where you are the main character.
You can:
-
Light a candle with no real purpose.
-
Sit in silence with your matcha.
-
Stand in the garden, and tree watch.
-
Write one sentence in a notebook.
-
Simply exist in the energy you want to carry that day.
Because those ten minutes say something: I care about how I feel. Not just how I look or how much I accomplish. And that kind of care? It’s the new symbol of wealth.
It’s not a soft life. It’s a well-designed one.
I get it, “soft life” is cute. But this isn’t about leisure. It’s about taste. About choosing to live with a little more discernment. A little more grace. A little more attention to what feels good to you, no matter your age, occupation, or tax bracket.
It’s not a routine. It’s a priority.
Your mornings should reflect the woman you are, or the one you’re becoming. The version of you who leads with clarity, shows up with style, and knows her energy is too precious to waste on chaos before 9AM.
So here’s your gentle reminder:
-
You don’t need a new routine. You need a new approach.
-
Control what you can; your environment, your energy, your outfit.
-
Bring the same level of care you give to others, or your work, to yourself first.
- The more you take care of you, the better you can be for others.
Because whether I’m sketching a silhouette or steeping a cup of tea, the same rule applies:
Details matter. And I’m worth it.
A note:
This is written from a girl currently in a robe, absolutely late for a pilates class, but writing this, this morning, is 30 minutes of peace before a hectic Wednesday.
Use this week to curate your dream morning!
With Love,
