Hello My Loves,

Missed me? I know, I know. I have no other excuse than I need to hire someone so I can be present and here with you on a Friday Morning, but it’s okay; we’re building this together. WOW, That’s a message this week because I’m learning to appreciate where I am.

Sometimes we’re so focused on where we should be going, and sometimes you don’t need to worry or plan; you have more to give where you are and prepare for the blessing you're about to receive. In the spirit of enjoying and moving, it’s my birthday this month, and I’m travelling! So, what better way to kick-start the weekend than to have everything in my handbag for the plane?

My trick to mastering the perfect plane handbag is a blend of comfort, purpose and pleasure. Lastly, it can’t be too heavy: no one wants to lug a huge bag through the terminal.

Here’s my List: I have split into my 3 non-negotiables : Comfort, Purpose, Pleasure.

Comfort

  1. A Blanket
  2. Compression Socks
  3. Skincare (An Eye Mask, Face Wash, SPF)
  4. Any Meds (Sleep, Anti-Sickness, Painkillers, Allergy)
  5. Tissues
  6. Anti-Bacterial
  7. Wipes

Purpose

  1. Headphones
  2. Any Gadgets (Power Bank, Phone, Laptop, Chargers)
  3. A Book or A Magazine, or if you’re like me, Both
  4. Options (Do you have any hobbies, drawing, colouring, knitting, just work)

Pleasure

  1. Snacks (Fruit, nothing sugary that will add to swelling)
  2. Large Bottle of Water
  3. Journal
  4. All Your Documents (Because you won’t be happy if you forget them)

Notice how all these things can travel across all 3 categories. What’s important here is everything that matters to you. I’m a fearful flyer, so staying extra prepared and distracted keeps me grounded (ha, the irony). What are your non-negotiables?

When shopping for bags, keep in mind, great weight distribution because it won’t be light. My safety is always in a Longchamp Le Pliage. She’s affordable, timeless and classy.

I think we need to discuss solo travel soon because I’ve done a few now! Leave a comment if you want to know more.

Use this week to give more where you are, so you are prepared for your breakthrough.

I’ll keep you in my prayers.

With Love,

Xox, JK
